“I’m just an almost grown punky emo girl with a lot of thoughts in my head. I’m from Michigan – then we moved to Ward 8 DC…not happy, haven’t been. Because of the size of the population of DC, things feel chaotic here, and I don’t feel safe in all parts of the city. I’m a leader because I voice how I feel in my art even if it’s literal or metaphorical. I express myself because I agree a photo can say a million words. I believe in a future for women incorporating women. I want a safe happy unified nation. In my photos, I tell stories of myself, troubled youth, nature, and anything that calls to me. My message to other young people in DC is you have a voice and it matters regardless of any scope, gender, or race. Speak what you feel.”
