"I took this photo to show, not shoes, but a piece of African American culture. Jordans are shoes that socially define people. Many go out of their way to keep up with society's status quo. Many may rob, steal, and spend money they don't have just to 'fit in.' This is not a fad, this is a nationwide epidemic. So as I walk in my J's I stride because I like them, but society just sees another black man bowing down to the system."
