Big Buildings
I took a picture of a building in downtown Washington, D.C. I have no clue what the name of the building is. That’s the point I’m trying to make, because I know there are a bunch of kids like me who walk past this building and don’t know what this building is. But all that could change if we had internships at my school, so kids like me can be prepared for these 'big buildings.' My world and their world are not the same / They walk with their heads high / And when I walk past them I put my head down in shame / Honestly I don’t know who to blame / Maybe it’s where I come from / What they like to call the 'hood' / But really we all the same / But people like me are misunderstood.
