I took this picture to show everyone that I’m back in school and I love it. School is important to me now more than it was in 1984. I didn’t graduate [then]. I look back at all the time I’ve wasted! Who knows what I could have accomplished by now. I’m just glad I took the time to think about it and follow through with it. I made a mistake and didn’t finish high school, but since then I’ve completed a Medical Assistant program, a Home Health Aide class and as of January I will have gotten my high school diploma. When it comes to education I’m very serious. My husband and I know how hard it is out here so we stress it a lot with our children. If you don’t do anything else, finish school. Both of my daughters are honor roll students and I’m proud to say that their mother is too!
