"I believe in social change, youth leadership and community organizing because they are the best ways to improve your community. Living in DC I've seen that when people from outside try to fix things they often get worse. The best way for communities to improve is if they are involved in the improvements. The community knows what they need and the next step is to find out how to get it. That's where people like me come in; Youth leaders who organize communities to achieve social change. My photographs are about these communities and the youth leaders in them."
