School-Based Programs

D.C. High Schools
Dates Of Project:

Our In-School Programs are implemented in partnership with classroom teachers and with the active support of principals. Programs provide students with the opportunity to participate in Critical Exposure’s programs during the school day, enabling us to reach youth who either do not or cannot participate in afterschool activities.

Summer Youth Facilitator Institute

Thurgood Marshall Center and program sites citywide
Dates Of Project:

Our Summer Programs are taught by selected youth from Critical Exposure’s Fellowship Program or alumni, who are hired and trained as facilitators through our comprehensive Summer Youth Facilitator Institute. This peer-to-peer learning is the highest rung of our youth development ladder as it elevates our youth from being the participants to the facilitators.
