Critical Exposure taught us to take pictures of our everyday lives so we can get in touch with people who do not understand what is going on in the DC public schools.
If you or a young person you know would like to join one of our in-house programs at the Thurgood Marshall Center (12th & T NW), you can apply to the Youth Internship. The Youth Internship is a 9-week program where youth come together from all over the city. Youth Interns learn the basics of using photography to create social change and how varying forms of oppression intersect and affect their lives. Upon completion of the program, they will have the opportunity to apply to join our Fellowship program. Click here to be notified when the application opens for the fall semester.
If you are a young person or know one who is enrolled in DCPS, you may be able to join one of our in-school programs. For the spring 2014 we will be partnering with teachers at DC Met, HD Woodson H.S. and Eastern H.S. To learn about how you could join one of these classes, please contact Andrew at 202-745-3745 x.21 or andrew [at] criticalexposure.org. As we begin working with additional schools, we will update this list.
